WKS was formed in 1977, and was originally known as WONG KOK SENG TRADING COMPANY. After a period of growth, our name was changed in 1989 to WKS INDUSTRIAL GAS PTE LTD, and since 2003, we have been operating from our 65,000 sq. ft. premise in the industrial hub of Tuas.



In addition, WKS has 2 subsidiary companies LIM YEW SIONG PTE LTD and LEONG CHEW INDUSTRIAL GAS PTE LTD operating from Woodlands and Bedok respectively, giving us an island-wide presence unrivalled by no other.



In 2006, our subsidiary WKS WELDING PRODUCTS PTE LTD was established. Having been the main distributor for leading global brands like ESAB, GENTEC and MUREX, WKS is now a complete gas partner, and the industrys choice able to meet our customers full suite of gas and equipment needs.



In 2007, we forged abroad with the establishment of WMS INDUSTRIAL GAS & EQUIPMENT SDN BHD in Johor, Malaysia. Making full use of our experience, we bring quality products and services to our customers in Malaysia as well as the Asian region.
