Dr SF Loh was the Head of Reproductive Medicine Department in KK Womens and Childrens Hospital and the Director of KKIVF Center before joining Thomson Fertility Center as its Medical Director in 2012. While he was with KKIVF, he helped to develop the center into the biggest IVF center in Singapore. From 2008-2010, the center had performed a few thousand IVF cycles with good pregnancy success rates. He believes in a holistic and problem-oriented approach to the treatment of infertility. He helped to develop the discipline of reproductive surgery in KK Hospital, treating many patients with endometriosis, uterine fibroids and tubal disease. In his career thus far, he has helped many couples realize their dreams of becoming parents.

He believes that fertility treatment should be patient-centered and patient friendly. Fertility programmes should be tailored to the needs of each individual couple.

Apart from his interest in the treatment of infertility, Dr Loh is also a senior consultant in obstetrics and gynecology. He has vast experience in antenatal care of high risk pregnancies. He has mentored many gynecologists in gynecological surgeries and was a level 3 trainer of complicated minimal invasive surgeries in KK Hospital. He is an accomplished surgeon in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries. He is one of a few surgeons in Singapore to perform laparoscopic reversal of tubal ligation and published the results of his series in Annals of Medicine in 2010. Dr Loh is also active in teaching. He was the Associate Professor (Adjunct) in the Duke-NUS School of Medicine.

Dr Loh's dedication to patient care has won him a STAR award for Excellent service (EXSA). He is the Chairman of the Reproductive Medicine Section of the College of O&G, Singapore. He also chairs the Ministry of Health and College of O&G joint committee for the development of clinical practice guidelines in Infertility.
