Singapore SooBin Art Int'l was founded in 1990, then has rapidly developed as an indispensable part of the international contemporary art field. In 2006, it changed the name to be SooBin Art Int'l. Its objective is to introduce works by renowned artists, promote artistic and cultural exchange between Singapore and other countries, and discover and support promising new talents. It mounts no less than five master-class shows a year, presenting artists firstly Wu Guanzhong, Ding Xiongquan, Chu Teh Chun, Li Manfeng, etc., which jointly present the Gallery's unique taste and high-quality display, then presenting Picasso, Miro, Hsiung Ping Ming, Chen Wen Hsi, Ai Xuan, Luo Zhongli, etc. With Chinese contemporary art rose up in early 1990s, SooBin Art Int'l held "Red and Grey: Eight Avant-garde Chinese Artists" in 1997, exhibiting the works by 8 contemporary artists including Zhang Xiaogang, Wang Guangyi, Yue Minjun, Liu Wei, Zhou Chunya, Mao Xuhui, Wei Guangqing, and Ye Yongqing. Then, the Gallery also held solo exhibitions for contemporary artists e.g. Fang Lijun, Wang Guangyi, Yue Minjun, Mao Xuhui, Ye Yongqing, Zeng Fanzhi, Feng Zhengjie, etc. Now the Gallery more focuses on fostering and supporting young artists with potentials. As a representative Chinese contemporary gallery , SooBin Art Int'l has organized more than 100 exhibitions in places including Mainland China , Indonesia , Malaysia , Hong Kong, Taiwan, European and American countries. By co-sponsoring Mao Tongqiang's solo exhibition with Vienna Suppan Gallery, and participating 2006 ARCO Art Exposition in Spain, SooBin Art Int ' l is looking beyond Asia setting its sights on collaboration with world-renowned artists, galleries and museums in Europe and America to make a contribution to the development of contemporary art.



In early 2005, SooBin Art Int'l set Red&Grey Contemporary in Chengdu, China, to introduce Chinese art to the world, introduce Singapore artists into china, and expand the exchange and cooperation between Singapore and Chinese contemporary art. By sponsoring the "Inhabitation in Chengdu - 2004 Invitation Exhibition of Chinese Contemporary Oil Paintings" curated by Lu Hong, Red & Grey Contemporary firstly presented itself. Since then, Red & Grey has already hold a number of solo and group exhibitions. Blue & House Art Center as one of the most famous art centers in China , was founded in 2003. Now it has already attracted 40 regular artist studios. One of them is the Red & Grey District, which covers 400 m2 , integrating photo workshop, painting studio, and exhibition space together as a platform for China-Sigapore art exchange. In its next phase SooBin Art International is looking beyond Asia setting its sights on collaboration with world-renowned artists, galleries and museums in Europe and America to make a contribution to the development of contemporary art.
