History of LSWE

Leong Siew Kwan and Leong Tuck Weng, a Father and Son Tag Team that wrestled the challenges of a contractor providing services to the civil and construction Industry in the late Eighties and built up a strong foundation for Leong Siew Weng Engineering Private Limited (LSWE). Since 1989, the names of these two men has been synonymous with ?Getting the Job Done? for their customers and earned LSWE the reputation of being Your Reliable Partner in providing quality engineering solutions in the form of steel works to varied industries ? civil building, marine & offshore, etc.

From small staff strength in a modest workshop at Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park, LSWE has grown to a total workforce of over 200 today at Tuas. In the year 2005, LSWE first forays into the Offshore & Marine sector began with a project awarded by an offshore equipment company for fabrication of skids for mounting cement mixing system on oilrigs, then followed on with another project for building diving system. Since then, LSWE has completed various types of steelwork fabrication and engineering projects to the offshore and marine industries for Diving system, Pressure Vessels, Production and Modular structures.

Also a workshop with turning, milling & drilling facilities was set up at Tuas South to manage all machining processes and sub-contracted services like coating, PWHT and precision machining. At the same period, LSWE started the SWORD & SHIELD initiatives below:-

S.W.O.R.D. ? Steel Works for Offshore & maRine Division
To manage steelworks & fabrication process for O&M sector.

S.H.I.E.L.D. ? Special projects, mecHanical & In-situ Engineering, Laser Division
To manage machining works, on-site works and related process for O&M sector.
To provide in-situ machining, metal stitching and alignment services for marine diesel engines, offshore components and structures.

Both initiatives comprise teams of highly experienced and competent team of professionals capable of handling engineering projects with flexibility and the ability to produce timely deliveries by allocating experience resources to manage customers' projects was required.
