Jy Norvins magical journey began in mid-2008, when he joined the Republic Polytechnic Magic Interest Group initially as a hobby. His stage magic career was given a jumpstart in early 2009 with performances in charity events, old folks homes, childrens shows, various corporate and shopping centre events, schools as well as competitions since. Notable events include the iconic Chingay Parade and the annual Presidents Challenge in 2009 and the Youth Olympic Games in 2010.

Jy Norvin reached the finals of Singapore Flyer Street Magic Competition 2009. In 2011, he was awarded an impressive full score by an international magician from Australia in the close up category.

In 2014, he was the finalist for Magic Warehouse Competition organised by Lawrence and Priscilla Khong. On the same year, he was awarded 1st runner up for his category and his team received the championship title for Fantabulous Magic Challenge 2014. He participated another Singapore magic competition ?Stars Of Magic 2014? and won the 3rd place.

Aside from magic, Jy also has a strong passion for balloon sculpturing and never fails to amaze his audience with his skill. He works as a balloonist at childrens parties, block parties and other events. In 2014, he was involved in breaking the Singapore Books Of Record ? Largest number of students in balloon workshop with a group of balloonist.

Till date, Jy Norvin is an all rounder entertainer who has years of experience in stage magic, children magic, close up magic, balloon twisting and balloon decorations under his belt.
