Incorporated in 1983 in Singapore, Chu Kwong Garment Factory Pte Ltd has grown to be a reputable and dependable manufacturer and exporter of ready-made garments. We supply products such as knitted T-shirts, sweatshirts, pullovers, cardigans, dresses, shirts, shorts, pants, etc, to major companies such as Bill Bass, Ezekiel, B.H.P.C., and Boss, U.S.A., and Next, Cricket & Co./IMI Promotion in the E.E.C.
The president of the company, Mr. Sunny Lo Yat Sun, was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to Singapore in 1978 to work in his father's company. His father, Mr. S. K. Low, managed Golden Industries Pte Ltd, one of the major garment manufacturers in the 1980s. In 1983, Mr. Lo started his own trading and exporting garment business, the Chu Kwong Garment Factory Pte Ltd. Twenty three years later, Chu Kwong continues to serve its customers responsively and dependably.
Since 2004, Singapore has a free trade agreement with USA and Australia that allows American and Australian importers free or reduced taxation for orders coming from Singapore. It is Chu Kwong's mission to help importers become competitive in their home markets by taking advantage of this free trade agreement. For the year 2006, American importers enjoy a 60% reduction of import duties. In 2007, the reduction is 80%, and in 2008, the reduction is 100%, meaning, the importation from Singapore will have zero tax.
